What type of food we serve is a question we get a lot from people who are interested in our yoga retreats. We are delighted to share with you our philosophy about healthy nutrition and what a culinary experience means at Eden.

The Essence of Our Cuisine

At our yoga retreat center, we see a clean and fresh diet as a crucial element of your holistic wellness experience. It’s one of our most important pillars in our retreat. Our intake is our fuel for the body and what we eat has a big influence on how we feel. Our culinary philosophy revolves around serving meals that are high in nutrients, low in sugar, very well balanced and extremely tasty. Committed to environmental sustainability, all our meals are vegetarian and dairy-free, drawing inspiration from cuisines around the world.

Fresh and Local Sourcing

The ingredients that we use are locally sourced and some veggies and fruits even come from our own garden. The good thing is that we only eat what is in season and we are supporting the local community. We stay away from any packages and we make everything from scratch. For example we make our own granola, our own oat milk, coconut milk, protein snacks, peanut butter and our own hot sauce. This supports our dedication to serving meals that are fresh and still high in nutrients.

Well Balanced menus

As we don’t want to cause any harm to any living being, nor the environment, all of our meals are vegetarian and dairy free. By carefully combining carbs, healthy fats, and protein, we create dishes that not only nourish your body, but also leave you satisfied. Low in sugar and abundant in flavor, our meals showcase the possibility of embracing a vegetarian and dairy-free diet without any compromise. In case you have any dietary restrictions or allergies we are able to custom to your wishes.

Breakfast: Fresh & Tropical

After an energized yoga flow, we all have breakfast together like one big family. Our daily specialties include smoothie bowls, chia pudding, overnight oats, banana muffins, all accompanied by fresh fruit and homemade granola. Your second course would be a savory Nicaraguan fare that follows a variety of eggs, tomatoes, avocado, plantains, rice and beans complete with a refreshing juice of the day.

Lunch: Salad of the day

Every day we serve a fulfilling salad of the day, packed with a variety of veggies, quinoa, nuts, and chickpeas. Need a healthy snack? Explore our selection of energy balls, smoothies bowls, smoothies, avocado toasts – all designed to treat your body with love, care, and the nourishment it deserves.

Dinner: 3 course vegetarian dinner

Our dinners at Eden are magical. We are trying to create a space where you are having the feeling of dining out in a restaurant among fairy lights with like minded people. This is a time where we are able to connect with each other on a deeper level. Take a sneak peek in a few of our dinners:

At Eden we take the health of our body very seriously and we are hoping that everyone who sets foot at Eden will experience the power of conscious and delicious dining. Our culinary offerings show that healthy eating is not about sacrifices, but about embracing the joy of nourishing your body, mind and soul. We share our recipes in our newsletters and social media and an Eden recipe book is in the make! We hope to inspire all of our guests to continue this journey back home.
